My name is Edith Clavijo, I am passionate and curious about the world of finance, with a professional academic background in Public Accounting from the Polytechnic Grancolombiano university institution, a specialization in International Accounting from the Javeriana University and a Specialization in Finance from the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University in Bogota Colombia. Additionally, I have an ACCA International Financial Standard certification.
In addition to my academic training, I have more than 15 years of experience working in financial areas of companies in the financial and real sectors.
In my professional career I have managed to put my knowledge into practice and understand in a more practical way the importance of managing finances both for a company and on a personal level.
I am one of the people who thinks that financial education should be as important a subject in our early education as mathematics, since it would serve as a fundamental basis for making good decisions for our future.
However, it is never too late to learn to be informed to opt for a curious and self-taught attitude in our lives. I think that nowadays with internet access we can exploit our curiosity more and self-learn everything we want.
I consider myself a studious, curious and self-taught person, thanks to that I have learned several things just browsing the internet such as making my own website, creating virtual stores and training in new data and finance technologies such as Blockchain, cryptocurrencies and decentralized finance.
Therefore, I have created this space for people like me who are curious to learn, where I will share what I have learned and what I will continue to learn in terms of finances, so I can have a place to leave my experiences and thoughts.
